MQM-P PML-N Alliance will Benefit PPP in Elections:Bilawal
Posted by: MirzaAli123 - 11-10-2023, 09:38 PM - Forum: Politics - No Replies

Reacting to the recent “electoral alliance” between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday claimed that the coalition will be more beneficial for his party in the upcoming general election.
Earlier this week, PPP’s former allies in Centre — PML-N and MQM-P — announced that they would jointly go into the upcoming general elections, a move which could have impacts on the election results in urban areas of Sindh, the stronghold of the Bilawal-led party.
The development came as the scathing verbal showdown between the PPP and PML-N intensified since the Election Commission of Pakistan had announced to hold elections in the country on February 8, 2024.
The romance between the two former allies ended after the PDM-led coalition government completed its term in August and both the PPP and PML-N locked horns over election-related issues.
During an interaction with journalists in Safari Park, the PPP chairman said: “We worked hard to make him [Shehbaz Sharif] prime minister. It was the need of the hour.”
He clarified that the decision was aimed at improving the situation as the country was facing a political and democratic crisis. The PPP leader said that they benefited Sindh during the PDM-led government.
Responding to a question, Bilawal — without naming the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians — predicted that the “king’s party” would meet the same fate as that of the 2008 elections.

DWatson F-6 are selling mixed products (original and fake mix) in same racks
Posted by: MirzaAli123 - 11-10-2023, 09:31 PM - Forum: Fraud/SCAM - No Replies

This is the 2nd time I've faced this issue. DWatson F-6 are selling mixed products (original and fake mix) in same racks I guess. Last time they said products are from different regions. But this time, products were from the same region with much varying quality of packaging, sticker writing and even the lotion color was not matching. This time they said products are from different batches.
If product are from different batches, do they also differ in finishing, color, labelling, texture as well?
Has anyone else also noticed this?

Spotify premium Subscribers can now listen to over 200.000 Audiobooks for Free
Posted by: Bisma07 - 11-10-2023, 09:13 PM - Forum: Technology - No Replies

A little over a year since Spotify began offering audiobooks on its platform, premium members now have access to nearly 200,000 titles, with an option for an additional ten hours of listening for $12.99. Premium members, who already have ad-free access, can now listen to 15 hours of audiobooks per month.
Previously, using the Spotify app to access audiobooks required a separate payment. The catalog includes popular titles and bestsellers, and the streaming service has curated a selection suitable for different listening scenarios, from first-time listeners to commuting.
Spotify's premium version is available for different subscription tiers, and a recent survey suggests a significant interest in audiobooks among Gen Z and Millennials.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been suspended by the ICC
Posted by: Bisma07 - 11-10-2023, 09:06 PM - Forum: Sports - No Replies

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been suspended by the ICC with immediate effect because of extensive government interference in the board's administration.
Though the ICC has termed the sanction a "suspension", in reality it is a warning as the ICC seeks to prevent further government interference in the running of SLC. As it stands, the suspension will not have any immediate serious impact on Sri Lankan cricket. Sri Lanka's World Cup campaign ended on Thursday and there is no cricket happening in the country until December. No ICC funds are due to go to SLC until January.
While the ICC's quarterly meetings are scheduled for November 18-21 in Ahmedabad, the ICC board met online on Friday to address the SLC situation - government interference in all spheres from administration to finance and even matters concerning the national team. The next course of action will be decided when the ICC board meets on November 21.
The ICC's decision might appear to have come out of the blue, but SLC may not have been surprised. It is understood that SLC asked the ICC board to take this extreme step.

ABAD says UAE-based firms willing to invest billions in Pakistan’s real estate

“There is a shortfall of 12 million housing units in Pakistan, which provides an opportunity to the real estate investors,” said ABAD chairman Asif Sumsum.
According to the association, a delegation of various UAE-based Pakistani real estate companies, including Dubai’s ALMIR, Habib Group, Mark Stone led by Advisor to Government of Pakistan for Overseas Pakistanis in Gulf Countries Sardar Qaiser Hayat visited ABAD House, where it was revealed that they could bring multi-billion dollar investment to Pakistan’s real estate sector.

‘Contrary to popular belief, Pakistan among our best-performing markets’

Karim Amir Ali, Chairperson Almir Real Estate Brokerage Dubai, Hafeez Habibi, Chairman Habibi Group, Sami Sajid, Director Habibi Group, Sajid Siddiqui, Mark Stone, and Rehan Khan, Miss Afshan Khan, Rohail Rahim, Altaf Essa, and Wasimyar Baig were included in the delegation.
Addressing the meeting, Sardar Qaiser Hayat said investment from real estate companies of the UAE in the construction industry of Pakistan would bring prosperity and Pakistanis will get international standard residential facilities.
Why invest in Pakistan: panelists look for answers, but more questions spring up

“Pakistan’s political and armed forces leadership assure overseas Pakistanis for the safety of their investment in Pakistan,” he said.

Asif Sumsum assured of full support from ABAD to the UAE-based companies.
“Increasing population and urbanisation are providing best opportunities to real estate companies in the construction industry of Pakistan,” he said.
Karim Amir Ali, Sami Sajid, and others also spoke on this occasion.

Nintendo Announces New Live-Action Movie ‘The Legend of Zelda‘
Posted by: RimSha - 11-09-2023, 08:49 PM - Forum: Events - No Replies

Nintendo is developing a film based on its hugely popular ‘The Legend of Zelda‘ franchise, the Japanese gaming giant announced, as it bids to capitalize on the blockbuster success of its recent ‘Mario‘ movie.
The new, live-action ‘Zelda‘ movie will be directed by Wes Ball, who made the ‘Maze Runner‘ trilogy, and co-produced by Avi Arad, who has overseen several major ‘Spider-Man‘ films.
Legendary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who created both the Mario and Zelda game franchises, and was heavily involved in this year’s smash-hit ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie,’ also returns to produce the ‘Zelda‘ film.
“I have been working on the live-action film of ‘The Legend of Zelda‘ for many years now with Avi Arad-san, who has produced many mega hit films,” Miyamoto wrote on an official Nintendo social media account Tuesday. “I have asked Avi-san to produce this film with me, and we have now officially started the development of the film with Nintendo itself heavily involved in the production.
“It will take time until its completion, but I hope you look forward to seeing it.”
Japanese-owned Hollywood giant Sony Pictures will co-finance and distribute the movie in theatres.
Nintendo remained wary of Hollywood adaptations of its franchises for decades after its 1993 live-action ‘Super Mario Bros.‘ movie disastrously flopped.
But its return to the big screen with ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie‘ was an enormous box office success, grossing $1.36 billion globally — second this year only to ‘Barbie.’
The success is part of a growing Hollywood trend. Other recent successful video game adaptations have included HBO’s TV series ‘The Last of Us,’ and horror movie ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s,’ which has topped the US box office for the past two weeks.
In an interview with AFP in April ahead of the ‘Mario‘ film, Miyamoto said Nintendo had learned that “we wanted to develop the movie ourselves, instead of licensing it” to another company.
No plot or casting details for the ‘Zelda‘ film have yet been announced.
In the game series, elf-like warrior Link typically battles with the evil king Ganon to save Princess Zelda from dark forces plaguing the magical, Medieval-style land of Hyrule.
The ‘Zelda‘ game franchise, which began in 1986, includes more than a dozen titles — several of which have been acclaimed by critics as among the great video games of all time — and has sold over 150 million copies.
Nintendo shares surged over 6 percent on Wednesday, following the ‘Zelda‘ announcement, and the company’s quarterly results the previous day.

Diaper Diaries:
After really bad experiences with Pampers, I shifted to Molfix after hearing good reviews.
All has been good for the past 6 months, but now the quality has deteriorated.
The diapers rip up when opened & out of one pack, this has happened to approximately 8 diapers.
Please Molfix, improve your quality as these diapers are being wasted.
